Public Notice & RFI – East St. Louis Pump Station Project (4676.01)
The City of East St. Louis, in partnership with IEMA and FEMA, is conducting an environmental and historic review for proposed upgrades to the Parkside Pump Station, which provides essential drainage and flood protection for nearby neighborhoods.
Project Summary
Planned improvements include:
Site and security upgrades
Increased pump capacity
Control system modernization
Raising the operational floor elevation
Effluent screening installation
Construction of a new detention basin, including vegetation removal and soil excavation
FEMA requires public review due to potential impacts on wetlands, floodplains, and historic or environmental resources.
Public Comment Period – 30 Days
Residents and stakeholders may submit comments within 30 days.
