Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the largest and most visible division in the department. It has the responsibility of providing uniformed patrol services to our community on a 24 hour basis. The patrols are strategically divided to provide resources for a 14.4 square mile coverage.

Bureau of Investigations

This division is responsible for the follow – up on all reported crimes, investigation of vice and narcotics and the detention of prisoners. The detectives are trained in specialized areas of investigation such as, arson, homicide, criminal sexual assault, fraud and forgery.

Juvenile Division

It is attached to the Bureau of Investigations investigates all crimes involving Juveniles.

Strategic Anti Felony Enforcement Team attached to the Bureau of Investigations, enforces narcotic laws, performs street gang eradication and apprehends felony fugitives.

Bureau of Support Services

The Support Services Division provides the necessary support for departmental operations, of its Communications Section, Records Management, and Fleet Maintenance. Communications is the heart of the police department, serving as the link between the citizens in need of police, fire, or medical assistance. The Records Division is responsible for the management of all department records. Fleet Maintenance oversees all vehicles and equipment owned by the department.

Bureau of Internal Affairs

The purpose of the Internal Affairs Division is to ensure the continued confidence of the community by upholding the integrity of the department. This division vigorously and confidentially investigates all complaints with the understanding that a thorough investigation will not only bring to light any misconduct or inappropriate activity, but will also protect employees and the department against unfounded and unwarranted accusations.
